On 13 June 2025, prevention and technological innovation come together at the historic Corsie Sistine in Rome, Italy, for the Prevention Workshop: Technologies for Disease Prevention.

About the event

The event features an exhibition of 20 prototypes and technological solutions developed within the DARE Project, showcasing how data and digital tools can revolutionise health promotion and disease prevention throughout the life course.

Funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) as part of the National Plan for Complementary Investments to the NRRP, the DARE Project is committed to unlocking the potential of data to support public health and preventive care.

With a specific focus on digital prevention, DARE explores how emerging technologies can be used for primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention of diseases. Over its four-year span, the project has launched more than 60 pilot initiatives across five Italian regions (Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Puglia, Lazio, and Sicily), identifying innovative approaches to support lifelong health.

The prototypes and concepts developed through these pilots will be presented and discussed during the event.

This workshop is designed for healthcare professionals, researchers, public health experts, and stakeholders interested in prevention, digital health, and health innovation. Approximately 200 participants are expected.

SmartCHANGE at the event

SmartCHANGE project will be present with both a dedicated booth and a presentation by Engineering, one of the project’s key partners.

The presentation entitled "Personalised Prevention of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases in Developmental Age: The SmartCHANGE Approach" will explore how SmartCHANGE leverages AI-driven tools to deliver personalised prevention strategies for younger populations, with a focus on reducing long-term risks related to cardiovascular and metabolic conditions.
