Partnering to Shape the Future of NCD prevention

The SmartCHANGE consortium is officially announcing the launch of its Call for Integrations, inviting external healthcare institutions and software development companies to collaborate and leverage its cutting-edge AI health pipeline.

As chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) continue to strain global healthcare economies, SmartCHANGE wants to shift efforts from reactive treatment to early childhood prevention. The project has built a trusted, privacy-preserving data loop that connects health habits (exercise, diet, sleep) directly to clinical foresight. Now, the consortium is opening its doors to external organisations looking to adopt, test and benefit from this technology.

Two Pathways for Collaboration

To accommodate different sectors, the Call offers two distinct pathways for applicants:

  • The Healthcare Track (For Healthcare & Educational Institutions): Designed for hospitals, clinics, and school health networks that want to deploy the complete, end-to-end SmartCHANGE digital ecosystem. This includes the citizen-facing mobile application for tracking youth lifestyle metrics (steps and questionnaires) and the companion web-based Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) for pediatricians.
  • The Technology Track (For Software Developers & Health-Tech Firms): Designed for technology companies with existing digital health platforms or app developers or researchers working on explainable AI, Federated Learning or Machine Learning. Submissions in this track can look to integrate SmartCHANGE’s validated, long-term cardiovascular and metabolic risk-prediction models directly into their own software architecture or to build on top of any Open Source SmartCHANGE component.

A Low-Friction, High-Impact Opportunity

SmartCHANGE has designed a streamlined, low-friction application process. Interested institutions are invited to submit a concise Expression of Interest through a dedicated form, outlining their technical or clinical setting, their objectives and how they envision utilizing the tool.
Collaborators will be selected on a rolling basis and will gain streamlined access to the project outputs, play a direct role in validating the technical frameworks, and be invited to participate in future SmartCHANGE events, including a fully-funded invite to the project’s final event.

The consortium is hosting an Open Innovation Webinar on July 1st to walk stakeholders through the data pipeline, showcase the tools and provide a step-by-step brief on the application process.
