SmartCHANGE Consortium Meeting in Eindhoven, the Netherlands
11–12 November 2026
Eindhoven, The Netherlands

"Lighting the way to the finish line in Eindhoven"

The SmartCHANGE General Assembly is taking place at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on 11 and 12 November 2026.

Hosted on the TU/e campus, this is the last consortium meeting before the project closes in May 2027. Our international partners come together to review what has been achieved, finalise the technical and clinical work, and agree on the priorities for the remaining months.

Agenda highlights

  • Wednesday 11 November: A full day on the project’s scientific and technical core. The morning covers the proof-of-concept studies and the end-of-study evaluation, including findings from Slovenia, Finland and the Netherlands. The afternoon turns to the SmartCHANGE solution prototype and open-source code, followed by sessions on data harmonisation, predictive models, federated learning, and explainable and trustworthy AI.
  • Thursday 12 November: The second day looks at the road ahead. We discuss the recommendations for AI-based risk prediction, societal, legal and privacy issues, and plans for joint publications and dissemination events, including the project’s final event. We also review our exploitation strategy for the HappyPlant app, the web application and the risk-prediction models, before closing with a management session on the final steps towards May 2027.

This General Assembly also comes with a unique glowing experience, true to the SmartCHANGE spirit: on the evening before the meeting, partners get together for an active walk through GLOW, Eindhoven’s light festival, where the city centre becomes an open-air route of light artworks. A relaxed way to catch up before two intensive days of work.

As the project moves from development to delivering results, these two days in Eindhoven are the moment to make sure everything we have built is ready for the final stretch.
